“The Majestic” oud.    (Sold)

(made by J. Vergara 2013) This is the king of all ouds, hence the nickname “Majestic” It’s character is noble across the board. Impossible to stop looking at, and impossible to stop playing. Very comfortable action. The tone can be described as heavenly, or godlike. There is no other oud like it. If this was a car, it’s a Ferrari.

“Al Tarab #2″ oud.    ($4200)

(made by J. Vergara 2013) Based on the Tarab model, this oud has walnut ribs with maple spacers between each rib. A very powerful, resonant and crisp/brassy tone.. acoustically this instrument has a lot of depth.

The “Turquoise” oud.    (SOLD)

(made by J. Vergara) Sexy in appearance and having its theme based on the Syria masterpieces in mind. The use of turquoise as a concept for a bridge cap and pegbox cap was an experiement that went very well and will be used more in future models.

It has a very nice warm Arabic sound with strong trebles and bass range. There are also traces of bell tones, and a medium amount of echo.

Egyptian oud rebuilt by Najib Shaheen ($2200)
This is an old unknown Egyptian oud that Najib Shaheen rebuilt the top on. This oud has serious deep Arabic tarab sound. Very powerful with a lot of bark and bite on basses, and dryish trebles.

This oud’s parts were fabricated by Sandi in Istanbul and fabricated by

Sandi Turkish oud made in 1990 (SOLD)

This oud has a very ripe tone. Made in 1990 by makers Sandi in Turkey,
one of the best makers from that country. The action plays very very low.
The sound is Turkish with echo and deep basses. Very comfortable to
play in the very high positions as well

This oud has a deep sound, comfortable for a large male due to its size. The nut has been replaced with bone, and the pegs with ebony pegs which tune very nicely.
